Class 6 - Online Mindful Eating Workshop - Slowing Down & Pausing

Do you use food to comfort, punish or numb yourself? Do you continually diet or restrict what you eat? Do you feel like you no longer have the ability to eat normally?

If you want to develop a healthier relationship with food, so that eating takes a balanced place in your life, mindful eating is for you!

In this experiential mindful-eating journey, you will have the opportunity to explore your relationship to eating and food. Your increased awareness and mindfulness will help foster balance, choice, wisdom and acceptance, and ultimately transform your relationship with food and the quality of your life.

In class 6 of 10 of this experiential online mindful eating workshop you will learn the option of slowing down your eating, and to investigate what changes occur in body, mind and heart when you do.

In our fast-paced society, we often eat quickly to get on to the next thing on our To-Do list. Even during colonial times, foreign visitors were amazed at the "gobble, gulp and go" habits of Americans at the dining table. These habits are now spreading around the world through the popularity of "fast foods." The satiety hormones that signal that we have had enough to eat begin to be released 20 minutes after we begin eating. If we eat too quickly, we cannot judge how much to eat, and are more likely to overeat. By simply slowing down the pace of eating we find more enjoyment and increased skill in judging how much is enough.

Learn core skills of mindful eating from the comfort of your own home or office. During this 10-week workshop you will be supported with all the tools and techniques you need to start a regular mindful eating practice. No meditation experience required.
